Roger was originally just a support character – a partner for Dorothy the doughnut to dance with – Roger projected himself into the limelight to become a legend in his own fantasy.
When asked, Roger has only this to say about himself. ‘I AM ROGER – lover, creator, philanthropist, artist, intellectual thinker, patron of the arts, the voice of a generation, athlete, role model and inspiration to people worldwide.

About Perfect Love Is Me
With valentines day fast approaching, we had in mind a funny love song for an older audience. We came up with the idea of someone singing a love song about themselves. Roger, a supporting cartoon character from the BoodleBob series of books, was already showing signs of NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder) in the Dorothy story.
As a central anti-hero for this song, Roger was the logical choice. We loved the idea of a narcissist singing a romantic love song all about himself and it all rather snowballed from there.
Inspiration, Enrique Iglesias – Hero
For inspiration, we were looking for over the top love songs. Enrique Iglesias, ‘Hero’ fit the music and video brief as the best reference for Roger to aspire too. In the ‘Hero’ video Enrique, who is likely the hired help. Has unwittingly fallen in love with a gangster’s (Mickey Rourke’s) girlfriend. The video ends poorly for Enrique’s with his execution under the setting sun on a lonely desert highway.
Fabulous! For an over the top love song with an equally over the top storyline. After nearly 20 years Enrique is still number one.
